Lil L.A. Marz

Lamar Dajuan Walker (born on July 5, 2001 and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin)—better known by his artist name, Lil L.A. Marz (pronounced lil-ehl-ayy-mars)—singer-songwriter, musician, & producer. Is an uprising, independent artist & established force in the Midwest scene. He became widely known for his uniquely raw & aggressive approach to music. Walker claimed that he has a big amount of influences that makes his sound, and by names we’re very much familiar with. In which his biggest & main inspirations of music are from artists: Michael Jackson, XXXTentacion, & Trippie Redd. “In that exact order”, he says. Others would hear a hint of Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert & Juice WLRD with his [Walker] melodic sound (2020-21). Which has evolved to a softer sound creating his own style, staying true to the melodic side of music (2021 – Present). Rapping, you can hear the influence of Ski Mask The Slump God, Denzel Curry & DMX, during his 2018-19 era. According to recent material, Walker adds two more artists to his list of biggest inspirations in music. The two spots he opened up for is Tyler, The Creator & SoFaygo. In current time, his grand shift in style showcases more on the creative & innovative sound of Lil L.A. Marz. With an impressive skill to continuously widen his range by genre-bending. Blending subgenres from Rap, R&B, and now Rock & Pop music. The greatest example of this, is his hottest release right now, “JUSTAPHASE 3: THE FINAL PHASE”, released in April 22nd, 2025, as his fourth studio album. It is said to be his largest full length album so far with eighteen tracks in the official release. ‘JAP3’ is also his least explicit project to date, that is almost entirely radio friendly. With only six tracks that’s marked as “Explicit”, four of which has strong language. Lil L.A. Marz is the prime definition of versatility. Instead of him explaining that part himself, it seems as though, he rather show his material to the audience.
