Haley & The Sirens are an Emerald Coast band led by singer and songwriter Haley Brook. The name came from something Haley kept hearing at shows. People would tell her they had been walking by, heard her singing, and came inside because of her voice. A few even called her a “siren,” saying her voice had pulled them in. The name stuck. That idea fits the band well. There is something inviting about the music, but there is also an edge to it. A siren may draw you in, but she is still a force to be respected. Haley’s natural country twang is mixed with a love for blues, soul, rock, and pop, so the band does not really belong to one genre. They play music from different decades and styles, but rarely leave a song exactly as they found it. Covers are rearranged and shaped around the band’s sound, while their original music brings those same influences together with Haley’s own songwriting and vocals. At the end of the day, Haley & The Sirens sound like Haley & The Sirens. Whether it is an original or a song people already know, the goal is not to copy what has already been done. It is to make it their own.
