You know, sometimes life just throws you a moment that makes you pause and really take it all in. 'Forever Remember' started from one of those moments for me. I was sat outside watching the sunset during a short family break, and I just had this overwhelming feeling of how quickly time moves. It hit me that we spend so much time looking ahead or dwelling on the past, we often forget to truly *be* where we are right now. I wanted to capture that bittersweet feeling of nostalgia for moments that are still happening, and the urgency to really live them, not just for now, but as a kind of warning to my future, older and perhaps grumpier self, to always hold these memories with the fondness they deserved at the time.
Bringing that feeling to life marked the first time I brought in an outside producer to help capture the best sound possible. I wanted the music to mirror that emotional arc building into something anthemic and full of hope. We really leaned into that authentic indie rock sound, making sure every guitar riff and drum beat felt like it was propelling you forward, but also grounding you in the present. The goal was for the energy to swell, just like those moments in life when everything clicks and you feel completely alive. It wasn't just about writing a song; it was about crafting an experience that would empower listeners to find and cherish their own 'forever remember' moments.
