ÅHM – Biography ÅHM is a Swedish alternative rock duo consisting of Anders on guitar and vocals and Cribbe on drums. Both have roots in Linköping’s hardcore and independent music scene of the 1990s. After more than two decades apart, they reconnected and began making music together again. Drawing from grunge, heavy alternative rock and the more atmospheric side of post-rock, ÅHM creates music built around contrast. Heavy, distorted guitars sit alongside quieter passages, with melody and tension playing as important a role as sheer volume. There are echoes of bands like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Deftones, but ÅHM approaches those influences on its own terms. The band handles its own recording, mixing and mastering. Drums and guitar are recorded together, without a click track, allowing the natural movement and imperfections of a live performance to remain part of the music. It is an approach rooted in the records that shaped them, where the feel of a performance matters more than making everything technically perfect. Following their debut EP THORNS in 2024 and a series of singles throughout 2026, including Memorial Garden, ÅHM released They Drain on October 9. The song leads into their six-track EP The Mechanics of Falling Apart, arriving November 6, 2026. The new material explores loss, memory and the difficulty of holding things together when life begins to come apart.
