The 4th Kind project exists to accomplish one goal, defy the boundaries of modern electronic music. 4th Kind is a producer whose work sits at the intersection of hip hop's regional traditions and the low-end weight of bass music, building tracks around heavy bass synths and textures pulled from the darker side of psychedelia. The result is a sound that feels both rooted and otherworldly, grounded in rhythm, but always pushing somewhere stranger. Each release is an invitation to hear familiar foundations through an unfamiliar lens.
